THE LOGO
THE LOGO
The logo is named “Trident over Triangle.” The trident was used for a long
time as a psychology symbol. The triangle symbolizes Araneta trademark that was
used many times as building designs on borders. And so, a point-up triangle
might represent a strong foundation or stability, as it is rooted to the ground
through a solid base (just like pyramids of Egypt). The star at the center
bottom of the trident represents a Lasallian star.
The trident appears to be bigger than the triangle that
its two curled branches (from the side of the trident) seem to be outside the
triangle. This symbolizes the reaching hand of the society inside and even
outside the school since the triangle symbolizes the school. The society’s aim
is to be of an instrument of charity for the helpless and the needy. Indeed, the
society tries to respond to the needs of De La Salle Araneta University
students especially the AB Psychology students (members of the society) in
terms of seminars and other psychology-related activities.
